Dusting
Clean the surfaces with a dry or slightly moistened cloth. The cloth should not be wet. No water should be left on the surface. If there is some excess moisture, wipe it off with a dry cloth immediately.Do not use any cleaning agents, do not rub long on any one area, otherwise the gloss will fade and the stain will become more apparent.
Removing stains
Stubborn soiling, like perspiration stains from touching handles or chair backs frequently or rubber abrasion on table legs from shoe soles can be rubbed off with fleece. Rub down carefully in the direction of the grain. This will remove the top wax layer that harbours the dirt.

New gloss
To reattain a uniform gloss, polish the clean surface with the special care wax from the Hartmann Care Set. Surfaces that are frequently rubbed down with a damp cloth should also be given a new wax coating from time to time, as some of the surface is always removed during rubbing. Surfaces that are not subject to a lot of wear never really require rewaxing.
Repairs
Only qualified personnel should repair damaged oak, beech and alder surfaces. A deep scratch is repaired by completely lathing down the lacquer surface and giving it a new lacquer coating. It is hardly possible to repair small areas as some of the damage will remain visible.
