AUDRA
And the drive for perfection hovers over everything.
With its mix of materials, Audra creates an impressive symphony of the ultra-modern and the classic. Lacquered elements harmoniously grow out of solid wood elements. Discreet LED lighting gracefully sets the scene for glass shelves, mirror shelves and panels.
Striking at first glance and yet feminine in its lines, it is precisely the play of contrasts that makes Audra a genuine eye-catcher. The natural grain of the weathered wood is contrasted by a smooth but tactile lacquered finish. A robust, linear long-distance effect meets delicately rounded bodies with soft edges. Wild has never been so soft – and vice-versa.
True to the name of Audra, which means “noble strength” in Old English and “storm” in Lithuanian.
A harmony of lacquered elements and solid wood
Soft edges created by rounded carcasses
Weathered wood with natural grain
Solid reclaimed beech Uyaa
This is an exceptionally hard and dense wood that is particularly durable, standing on par with classic oak. Its heartwood character is as powerful as that of rosewood, and its gray tone evokes the impression of having been exposed to the elements for years. It is this latter quality that gave the wood its name: in a First Nations language, Uyaa means "force of nature."
